Pierce County Wood Stove Replacement options include: Heat Pumps, Ductless Heat Pumps, Gas Furnace, or Natural Gas or Propane Stoves and Inserts.
WA approved, EPA cert wood stoves and inserts are only allowed for low income homes.
Moderate Income?
You may be eligible for a $5000 coupon, up to $4,000 instant rebate through PSE and a $2,800.00 tax credit
How Do I Qualify?
To take advantage of the rewards, you must:
- Live in Tacoma-Pierce County Smoke Reduction Zone. See map
- Have an installed non-certified wood stove. or, a non certified wood burning insert. Open hearth fireplaces do not qualify for the wood smoke replacement discount. Wood burning furnace, free-standing, mfg. wood-burning fireplace, or coal burning stoves do not qualify.
- Depending on your current heating system, utility companies, and what you ultimately install, coupons and rebates may vary.
